About Me

Hello.

This is my new website, the 2.0 version of my old one.

I live in Brighton. I like music and learning new things. I like going to new places, to embarrass myself with woefully inadequate foreign language skills and to take amusingly inept photographs. You can see them on my photo gallery, linked above.

I can talk and listen and learn on virtually any subject, much to the annoyance of some people. Not football, though. That’s rubbish.

There’s a thing (technical term) over there called The Bilge Pump that spouts out thoughts and snippets of conversations I’m having. It’s actually my pointless Twitter feed. Have a look, you might like some of it.

There’s also some stuff over there from Posterous – my miniblog of things that don’t really fit into my main site. You’ll find articles I enjoyed or video, photos and pages that amused or interested me.

I like music, shiny gadgets, technology, science and the internet. Sometimes I stay in and watch an interesting documentary or something funny on the telly. That’s ok, I’m over 30 and I’ve always been a fan of slippers.

I’m married to Penny, my wife. She’s really lovely and we’re very happy. She writes about her adventures around the world in her blog, A Penny For Them. You should read it.

We have fish and two cats. Once you get beyond a single cat, there’s no point counting. It goes from one cat to many cats. A quantum of cats. They give me sleepless nights and a lot of hoovering.

I won’t bother posting every tiny thought on this site. If I did, I wouldn’t have time to do anything else. Beside, unlike the other 99.999% of people with blogs, I have the self-awareness to know that you don’t really care what I have to say. Besides, that’s what Twitter is for.

I’m nice. You’ll like me. Say hello if you like.
