The Glastonbury Cows

After six years, I wandered up a field I’ve never wandered up… and there they were, mooing contentedly in the evening twilight…

Nokia Phones Are Indestructable

In my haste to remove my Glastonbury mud-soaked trousers, I left my mobile phone in the pocket and put them straight in the washing machine.

It was only toward the end of the rinse cycle when I realised what the metallic clunking was. After a good spin, I took it out, removed the battery, SIM and memory card, and popped it on the radiator. 24 hours later, it’s working perfectly

Our Strawberry

Last week, the glorious first fruit of our new garden reached it luscious ripe peak. Here it is on Tuesday night, moments before we picked it…

Strawberry Plant

Doesn’t it look nice? See also the two baby ones, which are ripening up nicely! Penny picked it and lovingly cradled it, being careful not to drop it…

Holding Strawberry

Then we ate half each. It was soft and sweet, with just a little bit of acidity. It was the most delicious we’ve ever had! Look at how beautiful it is!

Glastonbury creeps up quietly…

11 06 2007

It’s Glastonbury next week! Where did that come from? I tried on my fleece and it still fits, which is good. And so do my boots. I remembered to order this year’s hug t-shirt too.
I feel woefully underprepared though, even though I’m an old hand now. I think I should get some spare trousers as the weather forecast isn’t great and I have a complete hat crisis. I can’t go to Glasto without a hat :(
